relevant country, NORHED projects may encompass LMIC institutional capacity
building elements like joint Norwegian-South research projects, Master and PhD
education of staff, post-doc fellowships and administrative and infrastructure
strengthening .
Higher education institutions in LMIC,
together with Norwegian partner institutions, can apply for support to capacity
building projects. Partnerships with more than one LMIC partner institution are
encouraged. The seed funding application should be submitted jointly by the
partnership institutions.
Receiving seed funding implies no
guarantee for further support, nor is seed funding a prerequisite for
participating in the main call. This announcement invites collaborative
higher education institution partnerships to submit proposals for seed funding
for NORHED partnerships projects. Announcement of NORHED main call is 13
November 2012.
