GIF is open and accepting applications for funding. We take applications on a rolling basis, with no specific deadline to apply.

Over the coming months, GIF will operate as a lean start-up as we build our processes, senior management team, and investment capital. We plan to make a modest number of investments during this period, and expect to operate at full capacity by fall 2015. 

GIF welcomes applicants to propose innovative, cost-effective solutions that address any major development challenge in any country (or in multiple countries) in the developing world.

Anyone may apply, including teams from social enterprises, for-profit companies, non-profit organisations, government agencies, international organisations, and researchers in any country.

GIF offers funding ranging from USD 50,000 to $15 million. Applicants should request the amount of funding they need to advance their innovation. This typically depends on the innovation’s level of development.
