The Caribbean Development Bank
(CDB) is pleased to announce the Third Call for Concept Notes for the Community
Disaster Risk Reduction Fund (CDRRF). The purpose of the CDRRF is to provide
grants to communities across the Caribbean to support the costs of undertaking
projects to strengthen the population’s ability to react to and reduce the risk
of exposure to natural hazards. Concept Notes should depict innovative and
transformative community-driven solutions in the priority areas of Disaster
Risk Reduction/Climate Change Adaptation and related livelihoods projects.
CDRRF will collect information on the lessons learned from each project that
can be applied to other community projects. Information from a project that is
found to be especially successful for one community will be shared with other
communities. Non-Governmental Organisations, Community-based Organisations,
Faith-based Organisations and Government Agencies as well as National Research
Institutions in 18 Borrowing Member Countries of the CDB may submit Concept
Notes to implement projects for up to 24 months ranging in cost from USD400,000
to USD650,000.
