Mama Cash is a fund with limited resources. More groups apply for funding than we can fund. In 2011, we received almost 1,500 funding requests of which we could approve a number of 87. This means we have to make difficult decisions on which groups we can and cannot support. The Mama Cash selection criteria and priorities are leading in our decision-making process.
