University Research Co., LLC (URC) seeks the services of one or more organizations based in Africa and experienced in evidence-based child and family protection systems. Under the USAID Health Care Improvement Project, URC will award up to three fixed-price one-year subcontracts not to exceed $150,000 each.
This activity is intended to cover a regional area of two or more African countries, thus bidders with operations in one country only are encouraged to team with one or more organizations in other countries to expand their reach. Potential bidders looking for teaming partners will be invited to submit their names and contact information to URC for a list to be circulated to other potential bidders, so as to facilitate networking and arranging these types of regional teams. Each team would include a prime and one or more subs; only the prime would have a direct relationship with URC. The total award for each team would be limited to a maximum of $150,000 for prime and subs combined. If awards are made to multiple teams, as anticipated, the teams will be expected to cooperate with each other in pursuit of a common regional approach to standards-based and evidence-based child and family protection systems.

Applicants must meet all the following criteria:
1. Is registered in the countries where it proposes to operate
2. Has existing offices in the countries where it proposes to operate
3. Is one of the following types of entity:
* Public and state controlled institution of higher education
* Private institution of higher education
* Non-profit organization
* For-profit organization
