The Indonesian Biorisk
Association (IBA) is pleased to partner with the U.S. Department of State
Biosecurity Engagement Program (BEP) to support the Indonesia Biorisk
Management Enhancement Grant (BMEG) Program.
The BMEG Program goal is to
provide financial assistance for biosecurity and biosafety enhancements, such
as laboratory security upgrades and biorisk management training, at
biocontainment facilities in Indonesia. Individuals from public and private
sector biocontainment facilities in Indonesia, including animal facilities,
research facilities, diagnostic laboratories and hospitals are encouraged to
apply.
The grants will be administered
by CRDF Global, an independent non-profit organization that promotes international
scientific and technical collaboration.
The applications will be
evaluated on:

Biosecurity / Biosafety Impact
§
Quality and Feasibility of the Project
§
Sustainability Potential
§
Budget Relevance
§
Clarity and Completeness of Application
BEP, IBA and CRDF Global will
evaluate the applications and inform each applicant whether their proposal was
selected for funding. Each selected application will be awarded a maximum of
USD 15,000 for a maximum of 6 months of work with the potential for extension
under certain circumstances.
